The new BMW M3 and the new BMW M4 Coupé feature a design that maximizes their sporting DNA. The front features BMW's large vertical double kidney grille with horizontal bars. This is a stylistic solution already seen on the new 4 Series that has caused a lot of discussions. Also, the cars have strongly sculpted wheel arches and clearly visible side skirts with fastening parts for the front and rear aprons.
Add to this a carbon fiber reinforced resin roof (CFRP) with aerodynamically optimized fins, a rear spoiler, and the two pairs of tailpipes that are now a common feature of M cars. are full-LED headlights but on request, customers can choose adaptive LED headlights with BMW Laserlight. Both sports cars can also be ordered in the new non-metallic Sao Paulo Yellow, Toronto Red metallic, and Isle of Man Green metallic colors.
The interiors are closely derived from those of Series 3 and Series 4 with many specific elements designed for these high-performance models. For example, the digital instrumentation ( Live Cockpit Professional with 12.3-inch screen) features custom graphics. The infotainment offers a 10.25-inch screen. Inside it will be possible to customize the available driving modes that can be recalled directly through the multifunction steering wheel.

ENGINES AND PERFORMANCE
The engine of the new BMW M3 and the new BMW M4 Coupé is a 6-cylinder 3.0 Biturbo capable of delivering 353 kW / 480 hp. The torque reaches 550 Nm. The Competition variant of both models, on the other hand, has 375 kW / 510 hp and 650 Nm. Speaking of performance, the BMW M3 and M4 Coupé go from 0 to 100 km / h in 4.2. seconds. The 200 km / h is reached, however, in 13.7 seconds. The Competition models, on the other hand, each accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h in 3.9 seconds and from 0 to 200 km / h in 12.5 seconds. M3 and M4 reach 250 Km / h (290 Km / h with M Driver's Package).
The gearbox is a 6-speed manual for M3 and M4 Coupé. Competition models adopt an eight-speed Steptronic M transmission with Drivelogic. For the first time in the history of the BMW M3 and BMW M4, customers will also be able to choose all-wheel drive. The M xDrive system is directly connected to the rear axle via the Active M differential. The driver can enter the Setup menu to choose between 4WD and 4WD Sport modes, the latter directing a greater percentage of the engine torque to the rear wheels.
To offer maximum driving pleasure, BMW has revised the chassis making it much more rigid. Adaptive M suspension with electronically controlled shock absorbers and M-specific kinematics and elastokinematics for the front and rear axles are standard. The cars also have M Servotronic steering with variable ratio and an M specific version of the integrated braking system, which presents the driver with two different brake response and pedal sensitivity settings.
The equipment also includes M light-alloy wheels, 18-inch on the front axle, and 19-inch on the rear. The tires are 275/40 ZR18 at the front and 285/35 ZR19 at the rear. Among the accessories is available M Drive Professional which has been specially designed for driving on the track. It includes the new and innovative M Traction Control, which allows the new integrated wheel slip limitation function of the DSC system to be adapted (in ten steps) to the driver's preferences and personal needs. Other elements of M Drive Professional are the M Drift Analyzer, which records and evaluates published driving statistics in dynamic cornering maneuvers, and the M Laptimer, which provides lap times and other information generated during track sessions.
Safety
Sporty but always safe thanks to a rich supply of ADAS. BMW M3 and M4 Coupé come standard with Park Distance Control with front and rear sensors, front collision warning, and lane change warning, as well as Speed Limit Info traffic sign detection. Options include the comprehensive Driving Assistant Professional Steering and Lane Control Assistant, Active Navigation function, Emergency Lane Assistant, BMW Drive Recorder, and the latest generation of BMW Head-Up Display with M-specific content. The optional Parking Assistant also includes functions such as the Reverse Assistant.
