F1 running on public roads with a maximum speed of 352km/h, Mercedes-AMG "One" premiere!



On June 1, Mercedes-AMG, the high-performance car division of Mercedes-Benz, announced the Mercedes-AMG ONE, a commercial model of the Mercedes-AMG "Project One," which has been under development as a new hypercar.

The Mercedes-AMG One has appeared as a hypercar that can run on public roads equipped with F1 technology to commemorate the 55th anniversary of the founding of Mercedes-AMG. A 1.6-liter V-6 gasoline turbo engine inherited from the F1 machine will be installed in the midship. The piston, crankshaft, and electrical system are specially designed, and the engine is characterized by rotating at a very high speed of 11,000 rpm. In the commercial model, the maximum output was announced as 574hp / 9000rpm.

A plug-in hybrid (PHV) that combines this 1.6-liter V6 gasoline turbo engine with two front motors (163hp x two) and a turbocharger and one engine each (122hp and 163hp) for a total of four motors. It assists the power of the engine when accelerating. In the commercial model, the power of the entire PHV system was confirmed to be 1063hp.

The transmission is a 7-speed "automated manual" and the drive system is 4WD. The Mercedes-AMG One enables performance of 0-100km / h acceleration 2.9 seconds, 0-200km / h acceleration 7 seconds, 0-300km / h acceleration 15.6 seconds, and maximum speed 352km / h.
