Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS, spy video from the Nurburgring

The tests of the most potent Cayman of all continue, which will have 500 HP and will be presented in the coming months

The long-awaited Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS has been showing up a lot in recent years. Since September 2019, the date of the first "sighting," the most extreme Cayman, has often been pinched while at work near the Nurburgring circuit.

Once again, Automotive supercar spotter, Mike caught Porsche carrying out some new track tests before the official presentation.

He prepares for the track.

The series of long tests makes us think that Porsche wants to get serious with this Cayman. We don't think the GT4 RS can do better than the 911 GT3 RS tested at 300 per hour for 5,000km, but the goal still looks very ambitious.

As in the previous spy photos, also in the video, we see a Cayman practically stripped of all camouflage. There is still some duct tape to protect the supercar's shapes, but we can already see the extra supply of air intakes compared to a "normal" GT4.

The front and side "vents" are much more significant to allow more effective cooling of the braking system (probably enhanced) and the engine positioned at the rear, as required by Porsche tradition.

The large wing and the further lowered trim make us understand even more how much this GT4 RS is designed for use on the track.

Power injection

The Cayman GT4 RS should be one of the most extreme Porsches in the range. In the "food chain" of the German manufacturer's petrol models, only the 911 Turbo, Turbo S, and GT3 should be more powerful and performing.
