Work vehicle or companion on adventures and sleep, thanks the modular floor that makes it 100% versatile, arrives in 2023

The American startup Canoo Inc., specialized in producing low environmental impact vehicles with refined designs and innovative technologies, presented during the online event Virtual Media Day, organized by Motor Press Guild, the largest association of journalists in North America, a new 100% electric model.

It is a pickup, which can be ordered from the second quarter of 2021 and arrives on the market within a few years, bringing a crazy level of versatility. The new model from Canoo Inc. looks like a traditional pickup, ideal for transporting goods and daily work. Still, it can be transformed into a natural companion for adventures thanks to the rear floor cover and the addition of other accessories.

Ideal for working days

The strong point of the pickup truck, presented by the American startup whose official name is not yet known, is undoubtedly the modular platform that allows you to increase the length of the vehicle from 4.6 to 5.4 meters for the transport of objects of larger size.

The new model was created to offer customers an ideal vehicle for everyday working use, with a loading area in the front, two folding tables integrated, one on each side in the side panels of the rear floor, and a top with electrical sockets from which to power the work tools. There is a refrigerator to keep drinks and food fresh during work trips and a first aid kit to complete the equipment.

The transformation into a camper

Although the new vehicle appears to be intended only for use in the field of work, this hides a feature that can attract numerous customers and fans of off-road adventures. Among the many accessories made by the American startup, the shells for the rear floor cover appear to transform the pickup into an actual camper. But not only.

Even integral

There is also an awning to be fixed above the roof of the vehicle, roof racks, and hooks that customers can use to carry bicycles in the list of options. Although official data have not yet been disclosed, the pickup truck should be offered with all-wheel or rear-wheel drive and a range never less than 320 km.
