Ducati Scrambler: Sami Panseri's particular flat track

The special Ducati Scrambler made by Samy Garage and Greaser Garage is Sami Panseri's tracker for KrowdRace 2021.

We call it speedway; they are motorcycling races that take place on oval ground plants, and the primary plants are located in the province of Cuneo (Boves), Vicenza (Lonigo), Treviso (Castelfranco Veneto), and Udine (Pozzuolo del Friuli). However, its history also passed through that of Oderzo (still in Treviso). In the United States, they call it flat track or dirt track and, while living it with serenity as a fun pastime and like good Anglo-Saxons, they make us run a lot of sponsors. The ovals are another battleground between the two historic American motorcycle brands: Indian Motorcycles and Harley-Davidson. But the story goes that even EnglishTriumph got in the way (and sideways) and got its successes in the past.

In Italy and Europe, slowly but steadily, the speedway sees its popularity rise among motorcyclists, coming to contaminate the unique world with a determined style, trackers, modified bikes made single-seaters, with a severed and angular tail. With a table instead of a flat headlight.

This year the German KrowdRace championship takes place in Germany, four appointments from May to September that will also see the Italian rider Sami Panser participate, riding a Ducati Scrambler prepared by Samy Garage and conceived, designed, and painted for the occasion by Greaser Garage in Genoa.

Title confirmation

Sami Panseri is called to confirm himself after the victory in the amateur and Thunderbike categories last year.

In the first, he led Dutch Mitch van der Stelt by 6 points and Austrian Michelle Kroneis by 10, while in the second, he managed to get behind his compatriot Nico Sorbo and Dutch Richard Japan.

This year he participates in the Hooligan category riding a Ducati Scrambler 800, prepared by the Samy Garage, in collaboration with the Greaser Garage team.

Changes

To participate in the Teutonic competition, the Panseri Scrambler must respect specific characteristics of the races in the Hooligan category.

Above all, Hooligan races' spirit, which is to run with what you have available and can be brought to the circuit.

That is a street bike, twin-cylinder, with a 750cc or more significant engine, a stock frame, specific dirt track tires, and no front brakes.

In short, it does not take any racing bikes to run flat track races, but some things must have them, or not have them, such as the front brakes, to drift better on the sand.

Giorgio Pellegrino has thought of graphics capable of attracting attention on the starting grid, taking inspiration from the Ducati logo, and also choosing the colors that Matteo Scarsi has shown on the tank, painted by Elena Speich.

The result is an accurate tracker with 19" spoked rims, number plates, and dedicated suspensions for both the front and rear, where the Samy Garage has modified the swingarm to accommodate the new wheel.

The rear part has been completely redone, characterized by the single-seater saddle and the streamlined, minimalist tail, in the traditional style of the trackers, and finally, a completely new exhaust system, to give the right verve to Sami Panseri's Scrambler.

To which we do our best good luck for KrowdRace 2021.
