Honda CR-V new model, cockpit released in advance! Exterior design leaked

Honda announced that it will premiere the new CR-V, the flagship crossover SUV, on July 12, and at the same time pre-released the image of its cockpit.

We also succeeded in obtaining an exterior image that was officially leaked from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) site from a Swedish agent.

The first CR-V was born in 1995, and from the latter half of the 2016 model, it became an overseas exclusive model. In 2018, it was revived in the Japanese market for the first time in two years at the timing of a full model change to the 5th generation, but it is reported that production will end with "Insight" etc. in 2022.

It turns out that the inside of the released cabin is quite similar to the new "Civic". However, on the center console, the position of the shift lever is reversed left and right, and the buttons are arranged sideways. It's also possible that the cup holder is gone and has been moved to the front of the invisible armrest. Other differences include larger vents and door panel style changes.

The exterior, obtained via the agent, features highly slim headlights, a newly designed honeycomb mesh grille with chrome strips, L-shaped corner air intakes, and a revamped character line on the sides, and along the D-pillars. You can see the LED taillights, etc., and the bonnet seems to be longer than the current model. At the rear, a large L-shaped taillight that extends to the tailgate and pillars has a strong impact.

The body size has been expanded to 4,703 mm (185.1 inches) in length, 1,866 mm (73.4 inches) in width, and 1,690 mm (66.5 inches) in height. The powertrain will be powered by a 1.5-liter in-line 4-cylinder turbocharged engine, expected to deliver a maximum output of 190hp, with different wheels available as the FWD model has 17-inch wheels and the AWD version has a larger 18-inch set. ..

More detailed information will be released on July 12th for the official debut of the new CR-V.
