In China, the last big electric Volkswagen SUV unveiled to the world: ID.6 [also 7 seats]

The big electric Volkswagen SUV

The new large VW electric crossover starts from China and offers 7 seats. It is ID.6, with local production and MEB platform.

Here are the first photos of Volkswagen's new electric SUV launched for 2021: ID.6. Not from Germany, but from Chinese sources due to the spread in that market. After the small city and medium-sized ones, such as ID.3 and Tesla Model 3, here is a large electric vehicle, 4.87 meters and with seven seats.

The car in the photo is made in FAW, a Chinese company in collaboration with SAIC, on an MEB basis, like the other smaller IDs. Stylistic imprint as per ID script, in XL format though.

Motorization also follows the trend. For the Chinese VW ID6 model, in fact, 204 horsepower is given, with all systems shared by ID.3 and ID.4. The weight is 2,840 kg for a maximum speed of 160 km/h. To follow, also for other markets, predictable more performing versions. Autonomy is not yet formalized, but with the more equipped version, over 600 km are expected.
