KTM presents the 1290 Super Adventure S 2021

Here it is, the new KTM 1290 Super Adventure S 2021, the concrete demonstration of how much the Mattinghofen technicians are constantly looking for perfection. The new Super Adventure S represents the third generation of great KTM Travel Enduro and comes with an updated chassis, which improves weight distribution and agility.

With its size and large volume, the bike expresses KTM's evolution from the sport cross, in which it excels, towards new market segments. Compared to the previous version (the 1190 Adventure from 2013), the steering head has been moved back by 15 mm and the engine has been repositioned inside the frame. The open trellis swingarm has been lengthened, to the benefit of stability. A powerful but also balanced bike, which opened new market horizons for the Austrian manufacturer.

The engine is also updated because the 1,301 ccs 75 ° V-twin is now Euro 5 homologated. Always very powerful, it delivers 160 HP of power and 138 Nm of maximum torque. The Traction Control has been updated, as well as the ABS cornering, and the Riding Mode is enriched with the Rally function ( on request ), in addition to the standard ones: Rain, Street, Sport, and Offroad. A bike that therefore gives great riding pleasure, and then has a new saddle, divided into two parts and which provides that the rider's seat is adjustable in height by 20 mm, thus offering greater comfort on long journeys.

The position of the handlebar and levers can also be customized, to the advantage of the correct triangulation between the footpegs, saddle, and handlebar. Among the novelties of the 2021 model, the innovative 23-liter tank with a “keyless” refueling cap and the new instrument cluster with the large 7-inch TFT display. The KTM 1290 Super adventure S 2021 will arrive in March at a price of 18,950 euros, ex-dealer included.
