BMW M4 CS, spy photos of the particular version with over 510 HP

The most extreme variant of the M4 will arrive in 2022 in a limited edition and will be lighter, more powerful, and meaner than ever

Now that the first M4s have arrived at the dealership, BMW is working on an even more powerful version. In the past, the German manufacturer had already made unique versions of its sports cars, such as the unforgettable 360 HP M3 CSL (E46 generation) and the 500 HP M4 GTS (F82).

The following "fitness" M4 was shown for the first time in some spy photos, which enhance the muscles and the aggressiveness of the new German super coupe.

So it "bites" the asphalt.

There is still no official news on the name of the new M4. Following the terminology of BMW's latest sports models, however, we think it is the CS.

The fact is that the "face" of the M4 will not change very much, but a series of sharper details will recognize it. In fact, in the lower part of the bumper, you can see the large splitter to improve the front downforce. Looking at the side, we get the impression that the car is even more planted on the ground with more massive wheel arches and side skirts that extend almost to touch the asphalt.

Integrated into the trunk, we find a new spoiler, which will probably be proposed in carbon fiber to accentuate its sportiness. The camouflages do not make us understand, however, if the diffuser has also been modified. In any case, there will be four tailpipes.

In addition to some cosmetic interventions, BMW's focus will also be on weight. The future model will reduce the 1674 kg that the Competition is currently marking on the scale.

The interior should also receive some special touches with exclusive trims and upholstery.

More horses for a lucky few

The particular version of the M4 could be proposed with rear-wheel drive only and a 6-speed manual gearbox to satisfy "old school" fans of the Propeller. The new variant will likely have higher power than the 480 hp of the "normal" M4 and the 510 hp of the Competition.

Production is expected to start in July 2022, and BMW is estimated to want to make just 1000 units. There is no trace, at the moment, of a more extreme version of the M3, strongly related to the M4.
