Jaguar has unveiled a special edition of the I-Pace electric SUV: it's called Black, and, in addition to more sporty-oriented aesthetic features, it adds extra standard features both in terms of interior and onboard technology.

With a 90 kWh battery, the Jaguar I-Pace delivers - on paper - up to 470 km of declared range according to the WLTP homologation cycle. With a power of 400 hp and 696 Nm of torque, it is also among the fastest electric (0 to 100 km/h in 4.8 seconds). Click here for the complete text of the InsideEVs. What's standard

The Black adopts, as standard, some accessories that are offered as optional on the other S, SE and HSE trim levels. These include the panoramic roof, tinted windows, and 20 "wheels with a glossy black finish. As for the colors, it is available in all the colors already present in the price list.

Julian Thomson, Jaguar Design Director, said: "The conception of the exclusive I-Pace Black gave us the opportunity to subtly enhance the car's design, making it even more dynamic, distinctive and fascinating."

How long does it take to recharge?

As far as recharging is concerned, the 11 kW onboard charger allows, if connected to a column or to a wall box of equal three-phase power, to increase the autonomy of about 53 km per hour. In this way, it takes 8.6 hours for a full charge. However, in a single-phase power supply, using a 7 kW wall box takes just under 13.

Charging in direct current, with the  100 kW onboard charger, takes 15 minutes to recharge 127 km, just over an hour for a full charge.
