AMG GT63 E Performance
This is Mercedes Benz's strongest 2-door coupe! AMG "GT63 E Performance" next model first SCOOP
Mercedes-AMG, which handles the high-performance cars of Mercedes-Benz, is currently developing the next model of the "GT Coupe". The highlight of the next model is electrification. The "E performance" of the plug-in hybrid (PHEV) reigns at the top of the grade. This time, " Spyder7 " scooped for the first time is exactly the prototype of the AMG "GT63 E Performance".
At the end of last year, the "SL Roadster" was announced as the AMG brand, replacing the AMG GT Roadster manufactured from 2015 to 2021. However, the name "GT" has been passed down to the hardtop. So far, we have scooped prototypes of the entry model "53" and the high-end model "63", but the PHEV model is the first scoop.
The prototype captured at the Nürburgring is fitted with special steel wheels equipped with test equipment. The charge port door (charging port) can be seen on the right side of the rear bumper, indicating that it is an electric model. At the front end, the area around the headlights is different from the "53" and "63" that we have seen so far, and it is possible that a PHEV model-specific design will be adopted. Also at the rear, the active rear wing is activated and you can see the square quad exhaust pipe.
The notable powertrain combines a 4.0-liter V8 twin-turbo engine with an electric motor. The maximum output is 843ps and the maximum torque is 1400Nm. This powertrain is expected to be installed in the SL of the brother model, and it is rumored that the lineup of the "SL63e" with a maximum output of 710ps and the "SL63 E performance" with a maximum output of 843ps will be exhibited.
The debut of the next AMG GT model is expected to end in 2022. The powerful E-performance is expected to be the world premiere in 2023.
