Cadillac's new compact SUV "GT4" leaked commercial patent images!

A patent image that appears to be the new crossover SUV "GT4", which Cadillac is currently developing, was leaked and obtained via a Swedish agent.

The GT4 is an entry-level crossover SUV that is lined up under the "XT4" and competes with the Mercedes-Benz "GLA" and BMW "X2" in the market.

In the patented image, you can see the familiar Cadillac grille with very slim fishing headlights, but it doesn't have the LED daytime running lights that extend vertically down from the headlights as seen on other models. Instead, there is a possibility that an L-shaped DRL will be placed on the corner air intake.

Other features include a bulging hood, plastic body cladding, streamlined bodywork, and a chrome "GT4" badge on the rear pillars. This accent was seen on the Toyota Corolla Cross, but the brand's trademark taillights definitely make the rear end a Cadillac.

The GT4 will be available in at least two grades, "luxury" and "sports," with the latter expected to include a black mesh grille and a quad exhaust system. The powertrain is expected to be lined up with a front-wheel-drive equipped with a 1.5-liter in-line 4-cylinder turbocharged engine and an all-wheel-drive equipped with a 2.0-liter in-line 4-cylinder engine.

In the commercial model, the "E2XX" platform that supports the "XT4" will be adopted, announced in the third quarter of 2022, and will be produced by SAIC-GM.
