BMW X6 M50i with 48V mild-hybrid

BMW is currently developing an improved new model of the "X6" lineup of middle-class coupe SUVs. The scoop site " Spyder7 " scooped the prototype of its high-performance model "X6 M60i".

The X6 M60i is a model next to the "X6M", which is at the top of the lineup, and will be born as a successor to the "X6 M50i".

The prototype I caught is in a camouflaged state with slim headlights hidden. Inside the headlights should be a new graphic LED daytime running light. The front bumper is equipped with a "J" -shaped air curtain, which is similar to the LCI (improved new model) prototype that has been witnessed so far.

On the other hand, it claims to be an "M Performance" model, with a large red brake caliper on the front wheels and a quad exhaust pipe on the rear. The shape of the rear bumper has also changed, and there is a high possibility that the LED taillights will be updated in the future.

Inside the cabin, a new curved display consisting of a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 14.9-inch infotainment system will be adopted, and the gear selector will also be compact.

The notable powertrain is a 4.4-liter V8 "S68" engine equipped with a new mild-hybrid technology that delivers a maximum output of 530ps. Combined with an 8-speed Steptronic Sport Gearbox.

By the end of 2022, BMW plans to debut all the improved new models of the X6 series, including the base model, M performance, and M.
