New Peugeot 408 Cross ,the first coupe SUV

The platform will share the new "EMP2-V3" with the Peugeot "308", "DS 4" and Opel "Astra", and will only support electric powertrains such as mild hybrids and plug-in hybrids. Probably a 1.6-liter "PureTech" in-line 4-cylinder gasoline engine combined with one or two electric motors for a maximum output of 225ps. All-wheel drive is also available, and EV cruising of up to 37 miles (60 km) is expected on a single charge.

Until now, "408" was thought to be the most promising commercial vehicle name, but the company used the same name for compact crossovers 10 years ago, but it was abolished without success in the market. From the background, the car name "408 Cross" suddenly emerged in the new model.

The world premiere is expected from late 2022 to early 2023.
