BMW M 50th Anniversary

BMW Motorrad has introduced a special specification car " M1000RR 50 Years M " commemorating the 50th anniversary of the establishment of BMW M to the Japanese market with a limited number of 50 units, and started accepting orders on the official website from June 17th. The price is 4,395,000 yen.

The application deadline is 11:59 pm on June 30th. If the number exceeds the limited number, the winners will be decided by the middle of July by lottery. Delivery is scheduled to begin in the third quarter of 2022.

The M1000RR is BMW Motorrad's first M model based on the supersport "S1000RR". The water-cooled 4-cylinder in-line engine optimized for racing produces a maximum output of 212ps and a maximum torque of 113Nm, which is 5ps higher than the S1000RR. In addition, M winglets made of clear-coated carbon and M brakes with excellent fade resistance and controllability are installed to enhance the fighting power.

The M1000RR 50 Years M is based on this M1000RR with the exterior color of Sao Paulo Yellow and the M competition package as standard equipment. In addition to the M billet package and carbon package, a lightweight silver anodized aluminum swing arm, M GPS rap trigger unlock cord, M endurance chain, pillion package, and pillion seat cover are standard equipment.

Also, in 1973, the BMW logo, which was used for the first time in the racing car of the predecessor BMW Motorsport, with the blue, purple, and red half-circles shifted, was installed as a batch for the 50th anniversary of the BMW M. Blue is BMW, red is lace, and purple is blue and red, that is, a color that imitates the fusion of BMW and race.
