VW premium pickup "Amarok" next model, "V6" badge was visible!

The latest teaser movie of the next model of the pickup truck "Amarok" currently under development by VW has been officially released.

Amarok, which was released in 2010, made its debut with a 2.0-liter in-line 4-cylinder gasoline engine, and in 2016, the diesel engine was renewed, and a newly developed 3.0-liter V-6 engine was set, which is the first time in 12 years. It will be a full model change. In November 2021, the sister model Ford "Ranger" announced a new model that will be the 4th generation, and it seems that it will make its debut in the form of it.

The next Amarok teaser campaign started with a sketch in March 2020, and the latest teaser released a short clip showing the back. A video posted on Twitter officially confirms that the next Amarok will have a "V6" engine, but will this 6-cylinder be a VW TDI or a port from the Ford Ranger 2023? Not confirmed. In addition, the VW logo, the "AMAROK" engraving, and the vertical LED taillights were also released.

On the market, the move to Ford's T6 platform, the new Amarok is 100 mm (3.93 inches) longer and more than 40 mm (1.57 inches) wider than the current model. The load capacity has increased to 2,645 pounds (1,200 kg) and the traction capacity is estimated to be 7,716 pounds (3,500 kg).

It also offers five trim levels: Base, Life, Style, Pan Americana, and Aventura, with wheel sizes ranging from 17 to 21 inches, depending on the variation. The infotainment system in the cabin runs on Ford's SYNC4 system and comes in 10.1-inch and 12-inch sizes in combination with an 8-inch digital driver display.

The next world premiere of Amarok is scheduled for July 7, 2022, but another teaser will likely be released within a few weeks.
