Mercedes Benz will release New B Class early next year.

Mercedes Benz, this is the last B class !? Decorate the endless beauty with an improved new model

Mercedes-Benz seems to be currently developing to improve the European C-segment model "B class". The latest prototype was captured by the camera of the scoop site " Spyder7 ".

The first B-class was born in 2005, and after the second generation in 2011, the current third generation was released in 2019, which is the first major improvement.

Although big steps are expected for the next generation, Mercedes-Benz recently announced that it will reorganize its "A & B" class. There are seven models called the current entry-luxury segment, "A class", "A class sedan", "B class", "CLA", "CLA shooting brake", "GLA", and "GLB". It is said that it will be reduced to 4 models. The model has not been finalized, but the current model may be abolished at the end of the B class due to reasons such as the decline in popularity of MPVs.

The prototype captured is a camouflage around the body. The improved new model will be equipped with slim headlights with redesigned internal LED daytime running lights. The grille and bumpers including air intakes, taillights, and bumpers at the rear will be refreshed.

Inside the cabin, it is expected to introduce MBUX software for a 10.25-inch dual screen. If you share the layout with the A-Class, the center console touchpad may be removed.

The powertrain may be a mild hybrid of a 1.3-liter in-line 4-cylinder gasoline engine with a maximum output of 136ps and a 1.5-liter in-line 4-cylinder diesel turbo engine with a maximum output of 116ps. In addition, the flagship "B250e", which combines a 1.3-liter in-line 4-cylinder engine with a maximum output of 160ps and an electric motor with a maximum output of 102ps, is expected to be carried over.

The world premiere of the new B-class improvement is expected in early 2023. If this is the last B-class, the soul of the Mercedes MPV will be inherited by LCV-derived models such as the "Citan / T-Class" and the upcoming "EQT".
