KTM 890 Duke Black Tech3: the limited-edition naked bike inspired by MotoGP

The naked KTM 890 Duke responds to the claim Ready to Race and, thanks to the partnership with Hervé Poncharal's MotoGP Tech3 team, plays the role of the sportswoman.

KTM entered MotoGP in 2017 as an official KTM Factory Racing team, while the satellite team arrived in 2019 thanks to the Tech3 team. A still recent experience, but we had not yet seen a road model inspired by competitions in these four years. Perhaps in Mattighofen, they must have noticed, and the idea thus jumped between the desks of the offices of the R&D department.

The hyper-naked 1290 Duke would have been too extreme, so the choice always fell in a naked but within reach of a wider audience of enthusiasts, to be precise on the 890 Duke, which for the occasion is transformed into the 890 Duke Black Tech3 Limited Edition.

From the track to the road

From KTM Factory Racing, the revelation of the 2020 MotoGP season, to everyday public roads, recalling the production of high-performance road bikes. Under these assumptions, the KTM 890 Duke Black Tech3 Limited Edition was born, which dresses the accessories of the KTM Powerparts catalog to transform itself into a naked Ready to Race.

Thus was born a naked, not distorted but more aggressive, embellished by the Akrapovic Slip-On Line exhaust that announces its arrival even from the farthest distances. In addition to the new muffler, several official parts have been added, such as the seat cover tail, spoiler in the lower part of the LC8c engine, and chain guide shoe.
